This carving was finished a while back but I held off on finishing it because I didn't know weather I wanted to put scales on it or not. I am pleased with my choice, because this seahorse is carved all the way around. I made a stand for it to rest on, this also allows me to add my initials and a date to the bottom. |

| This is my second Seahorse design, and boy was it a lot of fun to work on. Little by little I kept adding detail after carving the basic design. Sometimes I come up with a sketch of what I would like to make and it takes months or sometimes years before I get around to it. I put more emphasis on the tale this time and added a little detail to the fins and put a small horn on top of the head. I added the three tentacles (on each side of jaw) to add strength to the neck of the Seahorse. I chose to make the stand in the form of a starfish this time and added detail there as well. |
